বিষয়ঃ মতিঝিলের রেস্তোরাঁগুলোতে নিরাপদ ও মানসম্মত খাদ্য সরবরাহ হচ্ছেনা, এ বিষয়ে যথাযথ ।

যথাবিহীত সম্মান প্রদর্শন পূর্বক জানানো যাচ্ছে যে, মতিঝিলের বাণিজ্যিক এথাকা ঢাকা শহরের একটি অত্যন্ত গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ान যেখানে হাজার হাজার চাকুরীজীবী তাদের দুপুরের খাবার বিভিন্ন রেস্তোরাঁগুলোতে খেয়ে থাকেন। কিন্তু মতিঝিলের আশে পাশে যে রেস্তোরাঁগুলো রয়েছে সেই রেস্তোরাঁগুলো অত্যন্ত অস্বাস্থ্যকর এবং নোংরা পরিবেশে তারা খাবার পরিবেশন করে থাকে। এই খাদ্য খেয়ে মতিঝিলে বিভিন্ন অফিসে চাকুরীরত মানুষগুলো হর-হামেশাই অসুস্থ হয়ে পড়ছে। রেস্তোরাঁর মালিকদেরকে এই সম্পর্কে বারবার বলা হলেও তারা কার্যকর কোন পদক্ষেপ গ্রহণ করে নি।

অতএব, আপনার নিকট আকুল আবেদন এই যে, এই এলাকাতে যে রেস্তোরাঁগুলো রয়েছে সেগুলোতে নিরাপদ ও মানসম্মত খাদ্য সরবরাহের ব্যবস্থা ও রেস্তোরাঁগুলোর পরিবেশ উন্নতকরণে মহোদয়ের মর্জি হয়।

Health Hazards of Food Adulteration

Food adulteration refers to the process by which the quality or the nature of a food is reduced through addition or adulterants or removal of vital substance. It refers to the forcing and usually inferior chemical substance present in food that causes harm or is unwanted in the food. Basically during food adulteration, small quantity of non-nutritious substances are added intentionally to improve the appearance, texture or storage properties of the food. 

Health hazards of food adulteration: Some health hazards associated with specific food adulteration includes:

i) Mineral oil if added to edible oil and fats cause cancers.
ii) Lead chromate when added to turmeric powder and spices can cause anemia, paralysis, brain damage and abortions. 
iii) Lead added to water, natural and processed food can lead to lead poisoning, foot drop, insomnia
constipation, anemia and mental retardation. 
iv) Cobalt added to water and liquors and can cause cardiac damage also copper, tin, and zinc can cause colic, vomiting and diarehoea.
v) Mercury in mercury fungicide treated grains or mercury-contaminated fish can cause brain damage, paralysis and death. 
vi) Non-permitted colour or permitted food colour like metal yellow, beyond the safe limit in coloured food can cause allergies, liver damage, infertility, anemia, cancer and birth defects.

শুধু ইংরেজীতে পাশ করে = (৮০ – ৭৫)% = ৫%

শুধু গণিতে পাশ করে = (৮৫ – ৭৫)% = ১০%

∴ উভয় বিষয়ে ফেল করে $=১০০–(৭৫+১০+৫)\%=(১০০–৯০)\%=১০\%]$

উভয় বিষয়ে ১০ জন ফেল করে মোট শিক্ষার্থী = ১০০ জন

∴ উভয় বিষয়ে ৫০ জন ফেল করে মোট শিক্ষার্থী $= \frac{৫০ \times ১০০}{১০} =৫০০$ জন
